halloween ideas...

Saturday night we are having a halloween party! I'm so excited to host a party in my new home, but I've been majorly procrastinating with decorations. I've been looking online for some ideas, and I've decided to have a black & white themed halloween party. here are just a few pictures that I used for inspiration...

Tonight Preston & I got our costumes! I'm super excited about it, I hope you guys will enjoy our pictures. I actually ordered my costume online, so I'm kind of nervous if it will fit right and how it will look in person. But, regardless, we are gonna have a fun night!

sister visit!

This past weekend I was able to go visit my sister Sarah in Indiana! It was so wonderful and cold up there, I wasn't ready to leave. =( Unfortunately I was sick the whole time, but we did manage to get outside and see the pretty leaves, and of course take some pictures! I was finally able to meet Bella (her rotten dog/child) and see the beautiful house they are building!

Halloween is next week, and I still don't have a costume! It is pretty bad because me & Preston invited friends over for a costume party, and the hosts aren't even prepared. I'm glad Sarah is in the same boat, she was asking for ideas for her & Kent... so what do you guys think?

Last year I was a nurse, I must say I loved this outfit.... Preston was Obama. Don't ask.

The year before I was catwoman and Preston was the joker (the old school Jack Nicholson joker). Daaaang that leather was tight, never again. Haha

The year before I dressed up at work as an angel, the dress code was strict so it was just a white outfit. Look at my mom as a dirty bum, and my 'little' sister as a pirate, lol.

birthday boy

I have to brag about my husband, he is so amazing! Any guy can get you flowers, or tell you that you look beautiful. To me, the little things sometimes mean the most. Lately Preston has been doing so much around the house... dishes, laundry, cooking, vacuuming, running errands, dusting, keeping our fridge stocked.... I could go on and on. Before dishes can hit the sink he washes them, he does so much without ever being asked. I feel like the luckiest bride ever! Yesterday was our 5 month wedding anniversary, and married life has been amazing so far. I'm so fortunate to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend =)

On October 6th my baby turned 26, he is getting to be an old man! haha.... we went with his family to the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Orlando. It was super fun, we walked around City Walk and saw 'Zombieland', it was pretty funny for a zombie movie.

I didn't have much time, but I tried to make Preston a birthday cake. I guess the cake wasn't cool enough when I stacked the top layer on the cake... and it starting splitting down the middle when I tried to ice it. I left the room for a minute, and when I came back I found this!

The top layer had split in 3 giant pieces and slid off the cake! Haha, oh well.... I bought him a nice store bought cake for the party with his friends. At least this one still tastes amazing!

My parents took us out to eat at Fred's Market restaurant for Preston's birthday. They bought him a Vans watch that he had really wanted, he loved it.

Later that night we had a party with Preston's family and friends... we went to Gameworks in Tampa. It was a blast challenging each other in pool, air hockey, basketball and tons of other games. I let Preston beat me at most of them, but I did kick butt in shooting hoops! He hasn't beat me at that yet ;)

Here is my adorable nephew Brody, I love him... he is such a funny character! Preston looks so cute in the picture below this, and he got the new season of the Office! Yay, I can't wait to watch it!

I'll end with this.... the other night we went on a late night run to starbucks, and guess what we found? A super cute raccoon! As we sat in the drive thru line, he kept walking up right to the car! I wanted to give him some food so bad, he was adorable.

I've been looking at puppies recently, but I might settle for a raccoon instead!
