thanksgiving weekend

I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving! We did, but it was a pretty long day. Preston and myself had 2 thanksgivings, the first half of the day we spent with my family, and the end of the day we spent with his family. We were too busy for me to get pictures, and the fam wanted to wait until christmas to take pictures anyways, so I don't have anything exciting to post from that day.

But.... I have pics of my favorite thanksgiving food, Gooble Goodies! This is the first year that I made them all by myself, I was super proud haha. These cute 'lil turkeys are made with oreos, chocolate frosting, rice krispy treats & candy corn.

We went with some friends to Tres Amigos this weekend, dollar drinks and dollar tacos! It was sooo fun, I can't wait to go back!

Today after church my hubby took me to the Cheesecake Factory! It was amazing, as always =) We went shopping at my fave place, Victoria's Secret, where I got some cute jeans that were on sale! We also got our christmas decorations, yay!

keratitus

My eyes have been bothering me for a couple weeks, so I finally broke down & went to the doctor... and i have keratitus, an infection of the cornea. Working in front of a computer all day has been terrible, I have to get like 6 inches away from the screen so that I can read... and my eyes are incredibly sensitive to light so it's hard to see to drive. I can hardly even see the computer now, my eyes look like this....

Well, it's not as bad as that last one haha, at least my eyes aren't yellowish like that, just super bloodshot and watery.

A week or two ago me & Preston went to a Say Anything / Eisley show at the Social with some friends.... it was soooo good, I love Max Bemis! =) Look how bad I'm squinting in this pic, my eyes were getting bad then haha

Preston and I had a fun day at Universal Studios the other day... I love the new holiday decorations!

my birthday weekend!

Saturday, November 7th was my birthday! I took off work and slept in, it was soooo nice! My husband was gonna make me breakfast, but I didn't feel like having that mess in my kitchen, so I requested donuts instead. =) I opened presents from Preston, he knows what I like haha, I got giftcards to Victoria's Secret and The Cheesecake Factory!

Later that day we went to Orlando with some friends, we went to the Mall of Millenia & ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was fabulous, I wish I had more pics of us....

Monday night our family went to Mellow Mushroom to celebrate my birthday & my brother's birthday, which is on the 10th. It was good food and a fun time... after dinner we went home to open gifts, eat ice cream cake, and play dutch blitz! I love my family =)

Today me & Preston had the day off, so we decided to go to the SPCA to take a look at dogs to adopt. They were mostly all full grown, big sized dogs, and unfortunately we don't have room for a large dog. It was fun to look, but sad too.... you could tell some of the dogs had been abused. I wanted to take them all!

These two baby dachsunds were my favorites! I'm not usually a big dachsund person, but they were adorable, the brown one had long fur so I loved him the most, a dog has to have a soft coat in my opinion.

We had lunch at Moes, then went shopping to spend my birthday money! I was so excited to see them setting up the giant christmas tree in the middle of the shopping center, I'm super excited for christmas to come! I bought room spray & oil in the Evergreen scent at Bath & Body Works, my whole house is going to smell like christmas, and I love it =)

halloween

Preston & I have been talking about getting a puppy for a long time. There are lots of pros & cons, because I work 11 hour shifts and it would be sad to keep a dog in a cage without being let out or played with often. But, we both really love dogs and have decided to get one, we'll just make sacrifices to make sure that we spend plenty of time with him / her.

So, we've been talking back and forth with the owner of this teacup yorkie, and I've been so excited as the plans have been finalized for us to get her! It was a perfect price, the perfect type of dog I've been wanting... however, at the last minute, the plans fell through. I'm so disappointed because we were supposed to have her this week, and now the dog search starts over and who knows when I will find the right one again. Look at her picture, she was adorable!It just wasn't meant to be I guess. I know we'll find the right puppy eventually!

On a lighter note, we had a really great halloween party! Lots of people came, my camera battery died about halfway through the night and I'm sad that I didn't get pics of everyone, but oh well. Here are just a few pics of our fun evening!
