our music video!

i know it's been forever since i got on here.... life has kept me busy, but i'm determined to keep this blog updated!

we shot our first music video months ago, and it is finally ready to be previewed! our cd should be out in 1 or 2 months at the most, we're finally getting our shit together and it feels so good!

for the first time ever, here is 'honesty' by maybe foreign

For those of you who may not know, I am in a band called Maybe Foreign. I play keyboard & sing back up vocals, my husband Preston is the lead singer & plays guitar, and his brother Logan is our drummer. Brother's Shane & Ryan play bass & 2nd guitar. Well we just finished recording our first cd, it should be out in a month or so, we are just waiting on it to be mixed. In the meantime, we have been playing some local shows & taking band pics to get ready for our cd release! Next week we will be shooting our first music video through a company call Three Studios! We're soooo excited, and always looking for more fans =)

It was an overcast, rainy day when we went searching for a good location for a band photo shoot. We decided on Medard Park, it has lots of trees & hills, a great spot for pictures. I hadn't been out there in years.

This saturday night we had a show at our favorite venue again, The Market on 7th. It was really fun, such an awesome show! I want to do this for the rest of my life =)

i ♥ valentine's day

This was our first valentine's day as a married couple... and it was SO perfect!! My husband was a sweetheart, he is so thoughtful and I'm super blessed to be married to such a wonderful guy!

another fun week

January 25 was my little sister Laura's 19th birthday! We spent a great night with the family at Carrabba's for dinner & playing Clue that evening.

Our band had a show at The Market on 7th, in Ybor... it was sooo much fun, I love playing live shows with my band! I'll post a live video sometime, it's taking WAY too long to load right now.

We got Baxter a tag that has his name & our phone number on it, in case anything ever happens to him. He hates it though, it's so funny he always tries to bite it off...

christmastime

Wow, it's been sooo long since I updated this.... sorry guys, it's been such a crazy busy time for me. Oh my gosh, I have SO much stuff to update, but I'll try not to make this post too long. =)



First, the best & most exciting news.... I finally got a puppy! His name is Baxter, he is a Pekingese and King Charles Spaniel mix. He is seriously the cutest thing ever, pictures don't do him justice.

He is such a good dog, I just hate this potty training phase... ugh.

So here are a few pictures from the holidays.

This was our first christmas married, and it was soooo fun picking out & decorating our first christmas tree together!

Preston put the star on the tree, then I did most of the decorating.... Preston watched tv. Typical male huh haha

The finished product! We decorated & wrapped our gifts in red & white, it was a candy cane theme. =)

Another night we went over to my family's house, to help with their christmas tree decorating. They shouldn't have put me in charge of brownies... mwaha

I'm so happy that my whole family got to be together for christmas this year! My sister Sarah and her husband Kent came down from Indiana to be with us... I loved seeing them! Here is the Newsom family, and then us kids with our pets.

I went to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure with Hunter one day, I loved all the christmas decor.... we had a blast just goofin off!

Our family went to Church Street Christmas in Dade City, it was super fun! We basically just walked around a christmasy town listening to music & looking at lights, then afterwards we went out for ice cream!

Christmas Eve our family attended a candlelight service, they didn't let us light our candles long enough, but it was beautiful when we did! lol

We walked around Christmas Lane one evening, a lighted christmas village with Santa & hot chocolate & TONS of lights! Ahhh I love this time of year....
